3 Days: Experience Galapagos: Boating, Snorkeling and Hiking Expedition

This package combines boating, snorkeling, swimming and hiking into a perfect adventure.

Day One

San Cristobal Highlands and El Junco – visit the largest repository of fresh water in all of Galapagos.

Galapaguera Tortoise Breeding Center – view giant Galapagos tortoises in the wild

Puerto Chino – this is the roughest surf in Galapagos where you’ll enjoy the beach and watch the surfers take on the strength and beauty of the Pacific Ocean.

Day Two

Frigatebird Hill and Darwin Bay – stroll the town, visit with our friendly sea lions, hike a lava trail and photograph frigatebirds, local flora and fauna, and the panoramic view of the harbor at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and Kicker Rock.

Isla Lobos  – snorkel with engaging sea lion mothers and pups, marine iguanas, frigatebirds, boobies and lush sea life.

Kicker Rock – enjoy this captivating and iconic Galapagos landmark, excellent location for photography and home to boobies, gulls, frigate birds and endemic Galapagos marine iguanas; snorkel with sea lions and many beautiful species of fish, as well as sharks, sea turtles and rays. Your underwater photographs, as well as those of the magnificent sunset at Kicker Rock, will be your take-home reminders of this memorable day.

Day Three


Charles Darwin Research Station  cruise to Santa Cruz Island to visit the site established by the Galapagos National Park as a conservation program for what was a dwindling population of giant Galapagos tortoises. The research station houses many species of Galapagos tortoises and is the center of much of the scientific study and exploration that occurs throughout Galapagos.

Downtown Puerto Ayora – walk through the most highly populated city in Galapagos, enjoy shopping, delicious local cuisine and the fish market where sea lions and pelicans sidle up to the fish counters to get their taste of the ocean’s fresh bounty.

Afternoon in Santa Cruz Highlands

Los Gremelos – visit two huge volcanic craters and learn about the flora and fauna on Santa Cruz Island.

Lava Tunnel and Tortoises in the Wild – Giant Galapagos tortoises freely wander through the highlands where you will also have the opportunity to walk down into a natural lava tunnel as large as the New York subway.
